Abstract
Due to the increasing speed and decreasing microelectronics element base, the threat of deliberate electromagnetic impact on digital metering devices for the purpose of stealing electricity has increased. To counteract this threat, it is necessary to develop technical solutions for the metering device protection and recording the fact of electromagnetic impact. The paper considers issues related to the development of devices for protection and indication of electromagnetic pulse impact on digital metering devices. Various options for protection and indication devices are presented with a discussion of their advantages and disadvantages. These options were tested as a result of research conducted at the Yaroslavl Technical University jointly with the company PJSC Rosseti Center. The paper notes that only manufacturers of metering devices can most fully ensure the protection of metering devices from electromagnetic impact by using various circuit, hardware and software solutions. Based on the analysis of various requirements for indication devices, "electronic seal" and "black box" devices were created. For the first time, the technical and design solutions used in the development of these devices are described in detail. The devices have undergone laboratory tests and pilot operation at the metering points of the branch of PJSC Rosseti Centre - Yarenergo located in the Yaroslavl region and equipped with various models of metering devices. The paper also proposes a strategy for using indication devices that allows minimizing costs and increasing the efficiency of identifying facts of intentional electromagnetic impact on metering devices. This strategy is based on the use of artificial intelligence technologies, generative neural networks, and methods for analyzing anomalies in energy consumption data.
