Abstract

Full Text

The paper deals with a frequency controlled induction drive equipped with such additional elements as a pulsed commutator and inductive energy storage in the DC-Link of a frequency converter. They ensure the voltage stabilization in the DC-Link of the frequency inverter in case of voltage drop in the supply network. Due to the presence of voltage level protection devices, the control system of standard frequency inverters made on the basis of uncontrolled rectifiers and autonomous voltage converters does not allow operation at undervoltage in the DC-Link. A prototype of a frequency inverter with extended functional possibilities controlled by a microprocessor device "Texas Instruments" TMDX28069 has been created. Due to the inclusion in the DC-Link, it provides normal operation at voltage reduction up to 48%. The MOSFET STP14nk50z transistor is proposed as a power switch. The STM32F411CEU6 black pill is used to control the boost pulse module. The CubeMX environment was used to program the microcontroller that controls the voltage boost process. Computer simulation and experimental studies of prototypes were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed electric drive system. Computer modeling results are consistent with the results obtained from experimental tests. The developed system can be applied to general-purpose mechanisms, such as air and gas blowers, by means of frequency controlled induction electric drives with scalar control. It will provide stable operation of the electric drives, which are installed at a great distance from the supplying substations by means of long cable lines.
