Abstract
The greatest difficulty in calculating the parameters of a single-phase short circuit mode in a network with an effectively grounded neutral for the purpose of remotely locating a fault is the modeling of power lines. The mathematical model of power transmission lines should take into account not only the resistance of conductors and ground wires, but their electrostatic and electromagnetic interaction. In power supply systems, this task is further complicated by the asymmetrical arrangement of conductive elements on the tower and the lack of transposition. Thus, the urgent task is to develop a refined mathematical model of power transmission lines, taking into account the above factors. The paper proposes a combined equivalent circuit for the capacitive component of a single-circuit power transmission line with two ground wires, based on a combination of methods of symmetric components and phase coordinates.
