Abstract

The paper presents the results of studies of changes in the nature of the load in cable lines of 6 (10) kV, feeding the industrial and household sector. Based on the results of these studies, the paper estimates the time and sections of the cable network where the maximum value of the magnetic field induction near the cable routes is expected. To assess the influence of the magnetic field from the standpoint of electromagnetic compatibility and safety, a technique of experimental research and a computer model of a three-core cable in the ANSYS EM (Maxwell) program were developed. The study of the distribution of the magnetic field was carried out in the operational and emergency modes of cable operation, taking into account the established load schedules in the operating modes and the adopted relay protection settings in the short-circuit modes. The paper also estimates the allowable distances to cable lines in operational and emergency modes according to the electromagnetic compatibility criterion.
